My thirteen-year-old cockatoo came to me as a baby and we've been best buds ever since. Unlike most parrots, my bird LOVES complete strangers. He knows they will give him attention--and attention is what this bird is all about. I hope to use him for pet therapy someday since he is so friendly, even with children.
The poodle just wants to be cuddled, loved and petted twenty-four hours a day. Food is always a plus in her opinion. But when it comes to strangers or crowds of people she'd rather hide in my lap or in her kennel. As far as she is concerned, car rides are the most important events in her life. Once you mention "bye bye in the car" in her presence, you'd better be ready to follow through or she will cry and pester you as long as it takes to make you take her for a spin.
My hermit crabs don't do much of anything other than sleep all day and eat all night. Nothing makes them happier than being left alone--which is why I don't have a picture of them to post here.
Someday I would love to own a sugar glider. They just look so cool! The only problem is they eat birds--which my parrot would not be happy about.
